Finally v3

Finally v3 is the next evolution of tube D.I., developed in conjunction with Philip Mann of With Bass In Mind. Like the previous version, Finally v3 features a high voltage 12AU7 preamp. With the stock 12AU7 the Gain control acts as a saturation control, choosing how much “tube sound” you’re getting. With a higher gain tube like 12AT7 or 12AX7 installed, Finally can be pushed into a smooth tube overdrive with the gain turned up.

The most notable update made to Finally v3 is that the fixed-frequency high-pass filter (HPF) has been replaced with a variable-frequency filter. This filter is a “12+12″ design, meaning there is a fixed -12dB/octave rolloff below 30Hz, and additional -12dB per octave at a variable frequency from 30Hz to 120Hz, allowing you to dial back the rumble and accentuate the frequencies you really need.

Finally v3 also features a high-voltage buffer on the 1/4” output, allowing it to operate completely independent of the XLR output, unlike the shared output design used on the Finally v2.

Like the previous version, Finally v3 is equipped with an Unagi Magnetics E4305 D.I. transformer, which was custom-made to Sushi Box’s spec and has an extremely wide frequency response and excellent sensitivity to playing. It was designed specifically for use with tube preamps and was designed with bass in mind, giving a full-range flat response down to 10Hz.

As a tube pedal, Finally v3 requires a high amount of current to operate correctly. I recommend a 9-12VDC power supply capable of delivering at least 500mA. Using less than this can damage the power supply and/or the pedal.
