Grand Slampegg

$400.00$413.00

The Grand Slampegg is based on the preamp of the legendary Ampeg B-15N.  Like the original B-15N, Grand Slampegg uses a 6SL7 for the preamp, giving that unbeatable warmth and punch that bassist have relied on the B-15N for in countless recordings and onstage. Aside from the standard Baxandall/James two-band tonestack, Grand Slampegg has a switchable high-pass-filter (HPF) to shave off low frequencies below 90Hz at a rate of -6dB per octave.

Grand Slampegg has both an unbalanced 1/4″ output and a balanced XLR D.I. output, each with an individual volume control. The 1/4″ output also has an inline buffer to prevent interference between the two outputs and allow them to act independently. The XLR output has a separate volume control on the side of the pedal which allows it to be adjusted independent of the 1/4″ output.

Each output also has a “source select” switch so you can decide to route either the preamp signal or the original “dry” input signal to either output. These switches operate independently so you can have any combination of preamp output and dry passthrough on the outputs.

As a tube pedal, Grand Slampegg requires a high amount of current to operate correctly. I recommend a 9-12VDC power supply capable of delivering at least 400mA. Using less than this can damage the power supply and/or the pedal. An optional 9V 1000mA power supply can be included with Grand Slampegg for an additional $13.
